MANDATORY ID VERIFICATION FOR ALCOHOL SALES AND ENTRY
- To ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations and prevent underage alcohol consumption, all businesses serving or selling alcohol in the City of Los Santos and the incorporated counties are required to implement strict ID verification procedures.
Mandatory ID Verification Requirements:
- 1. Businesses Requiring ID Checks at Entrance:
- Strip clubs and other adult entertainment venues
- Bars & Lounges
- Nightclubs
- Casinos & other venues where gambling takes place
2. Businesses Requiring ID Checks at the Point of Sale:
- Restaurants
- Cafes
- Convenience Stores
- Liquor Stores
- Grocery Stores
- Food trucks
- Any other business where alcohol is sold or served.
Accepted Forms of Identification:
To confirm the customer is 21 years of age or older, only the following forms of photo identification are acceptable:
- Driver's License
- Government-Issued Identification Card
- Passport
- Military ID
- Business employees must make sure to refuse entry or refuse to serve alcohol to persons below the age of 21.
- Businesses are required to train staff on proper ID verification techniques.
- Fake or expired IDs must be rejected.
- Failure to comply with ID verification requirements may result in fines, penalties, or loss of business permit.
Random compliance checks will be conducted. Businesses found in violation will be subject to administrative action.
