CITY ORDER 2503-09 - APPOINTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Los Santos recognizes the need for strong leadership within the Department of Social Services to ensure the effective administration of community programs, public welfare initiatives, and social assistance services; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager, in accordance with the administrative authority vested in the Office, is responsible for appointing key personnel to lead and oversee municipal departments; and
WHEREAS, Matthew Kaufman has demonstrated exceptional qualifications, experience, and commitment to public service, making him a suitable candidate to lead the Department of Social Services in its mission to provide vital resources and support to the residents of Los Santos; and
THEREFORE, by the authority vested in the City Manager of Los Santos, it is hereby ordered as follows:
Appointment: Matthew Kaufman is hereby appointed as the Director of Social Services for the City of Los Santos, effective immediately upon issuance of this Order.
Duties and Responsibilities: As Director of Social Services, Matthew Kaufman shall:
- Oversee the development and implementation of social welfare programs.
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to enhance community support services.
- Manage departmental operations, budgetary planning, and policy enforcement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to social services.
- Report directly to the City Manager and provide periodic updates on department progress and community impact.
Implementation: All relevant departments and agencies are directed to provide full cooperation and support to the newly appointed Director of Social Services in fulfilling his responsibilities.
Effective Date: This City Order shall take effect immediately after approval by the City Manager.
