- JOB SUMMARY
The Los Santos Bureau of Street Services is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Street Services Technician. This role is vital to maintaining and enhancing the city’s infrastructure, ensuring traffic compliance, and contributing to the overall safety and quality of life for Los Santos residents.
Street Services Technicians perform a variety of tasks, including street repairs, public facility maintenance, traffic management, and community support. They play a crucial role in keeping the city running smoothly and safely.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Examples of duties you are required to perform:- Perform roadwork, including construction, resurfacing, and sidewalk repair.
- Operate public transit vehicles and other certified equipment.
- Conduct landscaping services, such as parks, beaches, and greenery upkeep.
- Manage traffic and perform safety inspections.
- Enforce traffic laws, issue parking citations, and impounding vehicles.
- Direct traffic during peak hours, emergencies, and special events to ensure safety and reduce congestion.
- Maintain city utilities, including water, sewer, and electrical systems.
- Perform sanitation duties, including street sweeping, garbage collection, and facility cleaning.
- Respond to emergencies, such as storm recovery and debris removal.
- Provide information and assistance to the public regarding city services and traffic laws.
- Report damaged or malfunctioning traffic control devices for repair.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records to support investigations or court cases.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote traffic safety and awareness.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license within the State of San Andreas.
- Applicants must be a graduate of a United States High School or possess a G.E.D equivalent.
- Applicants must not have been charged and prosecuted for any violent crimes.
- Applicants must have minimal criminal history beyond civil/traffic infractions.
- (( Applicants must roleplay in a realistic fashion and display proper character development. ))
- (( Applicants must have an understanding of what a Public Worker does. ))
- (( Applicants must not have a recent or excessive admin record on any character, defined as one month/30 days for recent issues, with excessive records determined on a case-by-case basis. ))
- (( City of LS will work with people with minimal criminal history as long as roleplay skills are proficient.))
- (( Applicants must not be actively banned from any official legal factions within LS-RP. ))
- Applicants are required to maintain fluent communicative skills within the English language, both written and verbal. Previous experience is not required.
- Street Services Technician is an entry-level position in the Bureau and is under the general supervision of a Street Services Supervisor, they are required to follow all general rules and verbal instructions given by their supervisor during the probationary period.
Applicants must be able to pass a medical exam, which includes drug and alcohol testing. Employment is subject to background checks and candidates must not have been charged and prosecuted for any violent crimes.
- Able to read and understand maps and simple schemes. Able to read, understand and follow rules and regulations, equipment operating procedures, and written and oral instructions given in English. Able to read and write clearly in English and prepare work and incident reports in English. Able to maintain simple records and make basic math calculations. Able to maintain effective working relationships with the public and fellow employees.
- PROCESS
- Application — Applicants are reviewed and subjected to a background check, the applicant will proceed to the next step if they meet the minimum requirements.
- Verbal Interview — Upon meeting all the requirements and passing the first stage, the candidate is invited to a verbal interview, the test may have multiple steps. All candidates will be carefully evaluated based on English speaking and skills.
- Training Program — The training consists of learning basic general services activities, policies, and a field examination. Failing the exam may result in a dismissal from the Department.
