Please note that the above does not apply to businesses who's registration/licenses have been suspended, revoked or nullified! Also for businesses which previous applications were denied.

  • Please refer to this self-inspection checklist before proceeding to invite the code enforcement bureau staff for the inspection phase. Please note that installation is not the only priority, but maintenance of all the components in this worksheet is of as much priority and importance. Street vendors are exempted from some of the points below.

    (( NOTE: You just need to roleplay having these components, you don't necessarily need to have objects in the game through furniture. It is purely for roleplay purposes during inspection. Although for your liking, if you have enough slots, you can implement some objects, but it is in no way mandatory. ))
    1. Your business location is visible, and the business name along with the business address is visible from the street where the business is located.
    2. There must be a visible exit sign (luminescent or self-luminous) on the doors, with no obstructions in its way.
    3. If your business has more than 10 employees and/or has at least 1500 square feet of interior space, you must provide a restroom open to employees.
    4. If it is a restaurant or other open-to-public business that provides food serving services, or has a personal kitchen, it must have a visible gas shut-off valve that must not be near any highly flammable objects, liquids, or trash storage.
    5. Trash in and around your business must be picked up, put in the correct trash container, and disposed of regularly.
    6. The building must be free of any gas, plumbing, heating, or cooling leaks where employees or the public move regularly. The building must have no faucet leaks or vulnerabilities. There should be no drains.
    7. Windows and doors should be free from cracks.
    8. An alarm system should be installed including a fire sprinkler and monitoring system if your business is medium or large. It is highly recommended that every establishment would have one installed.
    9. Fire extinguishers must be installed and clearly marked.
    10. All electrical systems must be correctly installed, with no extension cords visible and all electrical outlets being covered.
    11. If the business has private parking, then parking space must be marked with a signboard, and parking designated for disabled persons should be marked.
    12. Disposal dumpsters must not be placed at a place of obstruction for cars or pedestrians.
