- JOB SUMMARY
Department of Social Services is a government-led organization that aims to protect the wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults.
Social Services have a statutory obligation to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and can offer a wide range of care services to children and their parents.
Social Services’ care department helps ensure children are healthy, safe, and well looked after. They work in partnership with a number of charities and organisations to ensure families receive the help they need.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Examples of duties you are required to perform:- Support for professional integration and workplace adaptation.
- Operate public transit vehicles and other certified equipment.
- Assistance for overdue rent payments.
- Assistance with landlord negotiations.
- Support for housing-related costs (utilities, maintenance).
- Emergency intervention for households without heating.
- Assistance with heating system repairs and maintenance.
- Partnerships with local markets and supermarkets.
- Assistance in obtaining social rights and benefits.
- Education and training programs for individuals with disabilities.
- Support services for caregivers.
- Support for purchasing nutritious food.
- Food assistance for low-income individuals and families.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license within the State of San Andreas.
- Applicants must be a graduate of a United States High School.
- Applicants must not have been charged and prosecuted for any violent crimes.
- Applicants must have minimal criminal history beyond civil/traffic infractions.

- (( Applicants must have an understanding of what a Department of Social Services does. ))
- (( Applicants must not have a recent or excessive admin record on any character, defined as 15 days for recent issues, with excessive records determined on a case-by-case basis. ))
- (( Applicants must not be actively banned from any official legal factions within LS-RP. ))
- Applicants are required to maintain fluent communicative skills within the English language, both written and verbal.
- Understand the social context in which people live and how multiple and intersecting oppressions and disadvantages impact people, families and communities.
Understand the contrasting contexts of social work practice and how contemporary social care, health, education, and specialist providers deliver services.
Understand the role of a social worker and a social worker's responsibility to empower, advocate, value, assist, safeguard and protect people.
Understand how to maintain their professional identity as a registered social worker, recognising the accountability and responsibility of the role, both in private and public life.
Understand assessment of need, eligibility, risk and protective factors when working with people, families and communities.
Understand signs of harm, exploitation, neglect, abuse, domestic abuse and coercive and controlling behaviour, recognising their impact on people, families and communities.
Understand the impact of trauma and loss on human development across a person’s life and factors contributing towards vulnerability.
Understand the social determinants of physical and mental health, including the impact of child and adult mental health issues, physical disability and learning disability.
- PROCESS
- Application — Applicants are reviewed and subjected to a background check, the applicant will proceed to the next step if they meet the minimum requirements.
- Verbal Interview — Upon meeting all the requirements and passing the first stage, the candidate is invited to a verbal interview, the test may have multiple steps. All candidates will be carefully evaluated based on English speaking and skills.
- Training Program — The training consists of learning basic general services activities, policies, and a field examination. Failing the exam may result in a dismissal from the Department.
