JOB DESCRIPTION
The Office of the Mayor is hiring Close Protection Operatives to form a team which will be dedicated to the protection of government officials around the clock. The team will have core responsibility over the protection of senior government officials, government property and other assets.
Close Protection Officers (CPO's) are an entry level position, and reports directly to the Close Protection Leader, under the Office of the Mayor.
• Core responsibility for maintaining the safety and protection of senior government officials.
• Responsible for planning ahead of events and contingency planning.
• Working closely with colleagues from the Police and Sheriffs.
• Attend our monthly and weekly status report meetings, taking minutes and reporting on activity.
• Assist in delivering any Cultural Affairs initiatives currently in place.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential skills, experience and attributes
• Current CCW or Guard Card
• Own firearm (Self Loading Pistol)
• Full UK San Andreas Driving License with no points.
• Advanced driving ability, evasive manoeuvres driving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A strong team player.
• Physically fit.
• Knowledge of current political affairs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
Preferable skills, experience and attributes
• Previous Law Enforcement employment.
• Previous experience in SWAT or SEB.
• Ability to drive armoured vehicles with emergency warning equipment.
• Ability to risk assess large scale public appearances.
• Political awareness and media training.
