Confirmation of Electoral Legitimacy and Appointment of Mayor-Elect
By the authority vested in the Office of the Secretary of State under the laws of the State of San Andreas and the San Andreas State Electoral Code, and following the disqualification of candidate Kenneth Muldoon under provisions of voter fraud and electoral tampering it is concluded that:
- The City Government of Los Santos has submitted verified records indicating that the final legitimate tally conducted on June 29th prior to any instance of criminal interference, placed Allegra Nixon in a statistically commanding lead over all other candidates;
- Candidate Kenneth Muldoon has been disqualified under violations of the San Andreas Penal Code (Section 619-B) and Electoral Code provisions governing vote-buying, bribery, and conspiracy to defraud a public election. His removal from the race nullifies any votes received in his name post-fraud;
- The Office acknowledges that Kenneth Muldoon has since issued a public and recorded endorsement of Allegra Nixon, further cementing the political alignment of his former campaign with that of Nixon’s;
- That such non-action constitutes criminal liability under the concept of wilful neglect in the execution of campaign oversight, thereby rendering Mr. Muldoon directly complicit in a scheme to unlawfully influence a democratic election;
- Said actions violate the Election Code of San Andreas, and the Ethical standards of the City of Los Santos,
- Given the substantial lead held by Nixon prior to the interference, coupled with the now-formal endorsement by the disqualified party, and the need to preserve civic stability, the Office finds that a repeat election is neither warranted nor in the public interest.
- Allegra Nixon is hereby recognized as the sole remaining legitimate candidate for the Mayoral Office. The conditions established under the Electoral Code for an uncontested and legitimate victory have been met;
- Accordingly, by directive of this Office, and with full legal grounding in the governing codes of the State of San Andreas:
Allegra Nixon is hereby declared Mayor-Elect of Los Santos.Ricardo Walters is hereby declared Deputy Mayor-Elect of Los Santos.
