City Order 2507-01 – Reduction of Firearms-Licensing Fees
WHEREAS, the Mayor’s Office is committed to making lawful firearm ownership more affordable for responsible citizens;
WHEREAS, lower licensing costs encourage compliance with registration requirements and support public-safety goals;
NOW, THEREFORE, by the authority vested in the Mayor of the City of Los Santos, it is hereby ordered:
- All City-issued firearms-licensing fees are reduced by thirty percent (30 %) effective at 00:01 on 19 July 2025.
- The City Treasurer is directed to amend the official fee schedule and publish the revised rates within forty-eight hours of this order.
- The City Manager shall coordinate with the Los Santos Police Department Firearms Licensing Division to update payment portals, application forms, and public information materials without delay.
- Any overpayments made on or after the effective date shall be refunded or credited in accordance with the Treasurer’s guidance.
- This order shall remain in force until amended or rescinded by the Office of the Mayor.
